I have worked in Telecommunications since 1983. I started out digging ditches and cleaning telephones. I quickly moved to Residential I&R then to Commercial I&R. I became a PBX tech within the first two years working in the telecommunications industry.
I have had the opportunity to be involved with many aspects of the telecommunications industry: Primarily Sales Engineering. In this role I assist sales with technical aspects of products in presentations to customers. I do the design of the solution, estimating equipment and labor, specification of hardware and resources. When the project is sold, I organize the resources and manage the projects to completion. My primary customers at CenturyLink/Qwest were very large global sized accounts. The projects I worked on were from a few thousand dollars to millions of dollars.
Prior to this I was a communications technician that specialized primarily in PBX installations and maintenance, and High-Speed Data Applications. I have established and maintained a positive working relationship with various large accounts within the QWEST/CenturyLink customer base.
I was a Technician in the field working primarily on customer owned equipment and networks for 19 years before “going inside” to become a sales engineer in 1999.
As a Sales Engineer I have worked on projects from very small to very large. I do design, specifications, configuration, presentation and implementation with project management.
